The family and children are happy to see you. And you get the opportunity to buy them bags of food and give them to them direct which was lovely. “Our Guide Dulce and our driver both did an excellent job. Dulce gave us some knowledge about the geology and Maya history of the Cenotes. She also answered our questions about some local wildlife. The Cenote experience was so memorable, like snorkeling into another planet. We were given wetsuits to stay warm and flashlights to see the stalactites and stalagmites. Dulce took us through a narrow segment into the Bat Cave. I highly recommend doing this section as you can see may little fruit bats and a very beautiful cave with a small opening to the sky where a shaft of light beams down.
