The interaction with the monkey is a single monkey that will jump on each person's head and then go on each person's lap. That is really cool! This is the one area you cannot take your camera or phone into so if you want pix you'll have to buy them…”

“Eddy was busy so he connected us with Moises and Emiliano. We had a fantastic morning of birding - 53 species! We birded first in Muyil, in an area Moises obviously knew well. Tanagers, toucans, motmots and more. Then on to Sian Ka’an, where long billed gnatwren & northern bentbill were highlights. We haven’t birded the Yucatán before so we’re glad to pick up some endemics. Moises and Emiliano were friendly, considerate of our pace, easy to be with. Moises is just an incredible guide, skilled in spotting by sight and ear. You’ll be lucky if you get to go with this duo!”

It was very hot that day, but the car had great air conditioning and Rodrigo had brought us ice cold drinks and snacks. We had forgotten to grab lunch before the tour, so he also pulled over at a small local mayan village where we ate some amazing chargrilled pollo asado and mondogo soup.
