There was just the right amount of time at the ruins of Tulum, the snorkeling with sea turtles was fantastic- they take you out on a boat and then you slowly snorkel back in together as a group. We not only saw, but stuck around and watched at least 5 turtles. She spoke great English and organised a guide for the Ruins part to speak both German and English (due to having some people from Netherlands etc. in our group). She clearly knew a lot about the culture, species and traditions. She answered all the questions asked and shared interesting facts about the ecosystem in the caves. She briefed the group at all times what's in the itinerary and kept us posted about timings etc. Lunch was also amazing! One of our favorite parts was snorkeling off the boat- We spotted a large school of blue tang, an enormous sponge, and a green sea turtle. Another favorite was exploring the pristine cenotes. “Really well organised, we encountered 3 accidents on the way to Tulum which delayed us a little. The ruins were impressive with a great narrative and historical references provided by our guide, Angel .the entrance to the ruins was a little commercial for me. The next part of the trip was to an independent tourist attraction were locals had bought the land, and been given permission to accept tourist. Great area 2 sinkholes, one in a cave the other external, a Shamen was available for spiritual cleansing, a little restaurant which also sold cocktails. Gifts were also on sale, but the highlight for my granddaughter was the Mayan birth certificate…”
